I am being redundant when I say this but, I was so not into Easter this year. My son is 3 and I was caught within his extended family of coloring eggs, and hiding candy for the bunny. NONE of it made sense to me. Time to move on.,.....

She wanted to remind me of the years I'd drop off baskets for the kids and insist they be told the Easter Bunny brought them. Everybody played along so well that several of them, including both my Godchildren, believed in the Easter Bunny longer than they believed in Santa.

Wed, March 26, 2008 - 1:50 PMthat was enlightening. I didn't know Christian fasts included egg and dairy, I have never heard of Mary's little trick with coloring an egg, and it's makes sense to do something with the plethora of laid eggs after Lent, so make a game out them? Thx.
(I like pagan associations to eggs and spring and renewal)
